“…
a flavorful treat for our palates!!” – Long Island Food
Critic
The Long Island Food Critic just reviewed DoraNonnie and sings its savory
praises. Read the review here! Winning kudos were the Sweet Soy Calamari (“very
tender and sweet and featuring a slight hint of heat”), Pan Seared Scallops
(“incredibly tender and pan seared to perfection”) and Long Island Duck Tacos
(“superb… created a flavorful treat for our palates!”). The Grand Finale was
the award-winning Lemon Pistachio Cake, drizzled with honey, candied pistachios
and a strawberry and lime puree, paired with the Kopparberg Strawberry and Lime
Cider from Sweden. “The cake was exceptionally moist, dense and downright
delicious, pairing perfectly with the cider.” Read the entire review here!

Italian-Asian fusion hits Glen Head
“To
me, some of Gagnon’s inventions—like Mascarpone Teriyaki Risotto—sound like no
other combinations I’ve ever tasted!” – Joan Reminick, Newsday
“It’s not General Tso’s
chicken parmesan!”—Chef Danny Gagnon
DoraNonnie just landed on “Feed
Me” on Nov. 2, Long Island superfoodie—and Newsday columnist—Joan Reminick’s
blog: “The dish on Long Island’s restaurant and food scene.” “It’s Italian.
It’s Asian. It’s DoraNonnie Tapas & Wine Bar @ Bernard’s, brainchild of
former “Top Chef” contestant Danny Gagnon. You’ll find it inside Bernard’s
Market & Café in Glen Head.” Reminick is planning on a visit to see what
the Italian·Asian buzz
is all about! “Gagnon assures me that particular dish will knock my socks off,”
she said. “We’ll have to see.”
